update
So a vacation is not very conducive to a weight loss plan. I weighed 315.6 before we left and when we got back I stepped on the scale and saw a whopping 320 point something last sunday. Got back in the routine of being home and not going out to eat once or twice a day eating all kinds of yummy non healthy beach foods and stepped back on the scale this morning to see 313.4, so thats good. Would be alot better if I hadnt gained the 5 pounds on vacation to have to lose back, but oh well, its real life, not a tv show i guess.

first "work-out"
Decided to try to slowly work my way up to being able to do a good workout. Did about 20 minutes of lifting weights and was able to make it 5 minutes on the elliptical. I thought I would be dead by 3, so I am counting it as a good start.
Hopefully will regain the feeling in my legs soon.

My high tech equipment

This is the super duper state of the art high tech equipment that I will hopefully be using a whole lot. First is my top of the line Reebok brand elliptical, its the one all the movie stars use. Think it has Pump button on it somewhere (pumppumppumppump-wait for it-ksssshhhhhhh):
And here is my extreme collection of state of the art free weights. Hopefully pumping a little iron will help me get this whole metabolism thing that I have heard people on TV talk about going. Not too sure what thats all about, but apparently metabolism is something you need. There are literally tens of pounds of weights in this shot, good stuff.
Starting again
Well, obviously I didn't do a very good job of either sticking to my diet, or updating this blog. I lost about 10 pounds in 2-3 weeks and then just leveled off. Haven't kept the diet going, though I have completely switched from regular drinks to diet drinks, whoopty-doo right?
I am starting again, I really hope that this time I can actually stick with it. I just weighed myself and am at a whopping 317.8 pounds. I am going to try things a little differently this time. Seeing as how I am going to the beach next week, I know that there is no point in trying to start a diet today, so instead, I am going to try to start exercising first this time. I never really did get into doing any exercise last time, and just dieting without exercise does absolutely no good.
My plan is to spend this week and next week (hopefully the condo we are staying at has a gym available, I am sure it does) getting to the point where I can actually do a little bit of exercise. After we get back from the beach I am going to get back into the diet thing. Nothing fancy, just gonna restrict myself to about 1700-1800 calories a day.
Last time I tried to use the elliptical, and being as I had never been on one made it all of about 2 minutes before basically falling to the bed and not being able to use my legs, pathetic, I know. My goal for these first two weeks is that by the end of next week I will be able to go at least 20 minutes on the elliptical every day, hopefully more. I am also going to get to drinking at least 4-5 glasses of water a day.
I will post another update later to let you know how long I made it on the elliptical tonight, wish me luck.
